Frequently asked questions
What is an EPC QR code / GiroCode?
A standardised QR code (European Payments Council guideline EPC069-12) that contains SEPA credit-transfer data. In Germany and Austria it is widely known as GiroCode.
Which banking apps can scan it?
Many banking apps in Germany, Austria and other SEPA countries support it, usually via a “scan/photo transfer” function. Support depends on the bank – check your customers' common banks.
Is it safe to share my IBAN this way?
The QR code contains the same data you already print on an invoice. The payer still has to confirm the transfer in their banking app.
Is my data stored?
No. The code is generated in your browser; nothing is sent to us.
