How to use it

  2. Choose your current insurer and one to compare.
  3. Check the full table – switching is possible with two months' notice, or immediately when your insurer raises its rate.

Is switching worth it?

In 2026 the gap between cheap and expensive statutory insurers is about two percentage points in additional rate. On an average salary that quickly adds up to over a hundred euros a year for you – and the same for your employer. Switching is simple: apply to the new insurer and it handles the rest.

Besides the rate, compare extras such as bonus programmes, dental cleaning or osteopathy subsidies and service quality.
