Frequently asked questions
Which voices are available?
The voices come from your operating system and browser – e.g. Windows, macOS, Android or iOS each offer different ones. Chrome and Edge often add online voices.
Is my text sent to a server?
The page itself sends nothing. Note that some browsers' online voices (e.g. Google or Microsoft natural voices) may process text on their servers.
Can I download the audio as MP3?
Browsers don't allow recording the built-in speech output directly, so the tool plays audio only.
