Overtime pay (gross)
–

Hourly wage = monthly gross × 3 ÷ (13 weeks × weekly hours). There is no general legal right to overtime pay or a surcharge – it depends on your contract, works agreement or collective agreement; overtime can also be compensated with time off. Overtime pay is regular wage and fully taxable; only surcharges for Sunday, holiday and night work are tax-free within limits (§ 3b EStG). Net per the official 2026 wage-tax flowchart (BMF PAP). Estimate, no guarantee, as of 10/2026.
